I'm not familiar with colinux, but if it really is Fedora 5, then the X that
came with it is considerably different than the X for which the libraries you
installed were built for. You have installed Fedora 9 libraries, which are
compatible with the current release from xorg. I'm not sure where you could
find the libraries for Fedora 5 unless colinux has a site you can get
compatible libraries from.
