Nedit 5.5 sources

I tried to compile from sources with the command "make linux", but I
got these errors:

Can you help me? I am working under a Linux server, however I am
starting to think that the  installation must be seriously flawed,
since also gedit, gnome-about and other GNOME utilities do not work.
