Question about cut-copy-paste on SLES90 Linux

Hello all -

I've recently begun working on a SLES90 Linux platform, and am having a
problem with cut-copy-paste between NEdit and other applications,
specifically, Eclipse.

Working in Eclipse, when I highlight text, I don't seem to be able to
use my middle mouse button to insert the text into NEdit. Nor can I use
cut/copy in Eclipse and paste in NEdit.

This is also true for the reverse, when highlighting text in NEdit, I
can't use my middle mouse button to insert the text into the Eclipse
editor, nor can I use cut/copy in NEdit and paste in Eclipse.

I'm using NEdit 5.5. 

Any suggestions will be appreciated.
