That is what happens if you set the -DBUILD_UNTESTED_NEDIT flag in the
makefile. If you have not set that compiler flag, make just stops.

If you use CVS to get a current NEdit source it will accept 2.3.0 as
tested. Quote:

   else if (XmFullVersion >= 200203 && XmFullVersion <= 200300) /* 2.2.3
- 2.3 is good */

You can get the latest version of motif.c from the "download" link on
http://nedit.cvs.sourceforge.net/nedit/nedit/util/motif.c?revision=1.7&view=markup

The version in
http://www.nedit.org/ftp/snapshot/nedit-latest-sources-HEAD.tar.gz
*should* be the same as the one in CVS, but what you are seeing suggests
you version is from before Thu Aug 2 14:13:03 2007 UTC which was when
motif.c was last updated.
