Dialog boxes and Compiz-Fusion

Hello,

I have some users which like the Compiz-Fusion environment with all the
3D gadgets (at now on a Mandriva 2008 dritribution). But there is a
problem running NEdit under this environment: all dialog boxes (file
open, search, reload modified file...) are opened opened with a 0 size
or a ridiculous small one (a few pixels).

When it is not a 0 size and the dialog can be resized, when it is
reopened is has the last modified size (until the next NEdit session).
When it is a 0 size, nothing can be done (except trying to type a return
or escape key to close the invisible window).

I did try the NEdit version downloaded on the NEdit site (the one I
install by default):
NEdit 5.5
Sep 30, 2004

Built on: Linux, 386, GNU C
     Built at: Oct 1 2004, 15:55:40
   With Motif: 2.1.30 [@(#)Motif Version 2.1.30]
Running Motif: 2.1 [unknown]
       Server: The X.Org Foundation 10300000
       Visual: 32-bit TrueColor (ID 0x63) (*)
       Locale: fr_FR at euro

And the one from the Mandriva distribution:
NEdit 5.5
Sep 30, 2004

Built on: Linux, Pentium, GNU C
     Built at: Jul 19 2007, 13:28:36
   With Motif: 2.1.0 [@(#)GNU/LessTif Version 2.1 Release 0.95.0] (UNTESTED)
Running Motif: 2.1 [unknown]
       Server: The X.Org Foundation 10300000
       Visual: 24-bit TrueColor (ID 0x23, Default) (*)
       Locale: fr_FR at euro

(*) Visuals are different but both versions of NEdit have been run on
the same display (at the same time).

Both have the same behaviour.
If somebody have an explanation/workaround, it would be welcome.

Thanks,
Ph. Poilbarbe.
