Hi,

Unfortunately, support for native languages is not a prior task for NEdit.
Currently menu and dialogs support 8-bit encoding so for private usage
you can try to replace in the code all menu items and dialog messages  by their
8-bit German equivalents (at first you can "grep" menu.c and menu.h )
and compile NEdit.
Since the project is really frozen :( such a localization will work long time.
Macro language as well as Macro and Shell Menus provide "German" dialogs and
menu entries. Thus you can make your own German NEdit.
Make and use own NEdit is a main stream now.
