Hmmm. I think this could be added as a "patch" to sourceforge at least,
so it won't be lost. Could that be deemed appropriate?

Thorsten's been working on providing a minimal environment (a populated
~/.nedit directory). This sort of thing could be included there for Macs
though I think, since it's platform-specific, it may not really belong
there.
