Future of NEdit?

I agree with Pieter here, this is one of my least favorite parts of
NEdit. There are multiple problems here:

1) You can't open multiple files at once
2) There's no directory tree to make navigation easier
3) You can't open a file by typing its location; you always have to
navigate to it
4) The dialog box is too small, and resizing it doesn't affect its size
next time it's opened.
