   Hi,
Sorry but I did something wrong.
I recompiled nedit after I've added the patch but I didn't see that
there was a compilation error. I was still using the nedit version
   WITHOUT the patch ( :-[ ).
I have the following error message (translating from french) :
   make[1]: *** No rule to build the target « patternMatchData.h »,
   necessary for « menu.o ». Stop.
Do you have an idea to solve the problem ?
   Regards.
   Eric.

No, I did something wrong, this file was not included into the patch,
it is a new file

try the new patch file from my site

I still have the same problem.
The new patch is : mp050226-V3-1-CVS20071126-2.patch
As I removed the previous one, I can't check that they are different.
Anyway, I don't see this file (patternMatchData.h) nor in the source
dir, neither in the .patch file.
   Eric.

sorry you were faster than me.

That's what my wife tells me !!
The compilation fails further, but it still fails :
   cc -O -I/usr/X11R6/include -DUSE_DIRENT -DUSE_LPR_PRINT_CMD -c
   patternMatchData.c -o patternMatchData.o
   patternMatchData.c: In function `helpCB':
   patternMatchData.c:6269: erreur: `HELP_MATCHING_PATTERNS' undeclared
   (first use in this function)
patternMatchData.c:6269: erreur: (Each undeclared identifier is
   reported only once
patternMatchData.c:6269: erreur: for each function it appears in.)
   make[1]: *** [patternMatchData.o] Erreur 1
   Regards.
   Eric.
