Sorry, I should had asked for /usr/lib/libXm.so.3 not the .2
version. I'm almost certain that the .3 version is provided
by openmotif.
I have a x86-64 server machine which also runs Gutsy, but I
rarely use nedit there because the box is headless.
However, playing with it now, I find that the problems I have
with nedit on 32 bit x86 systems seem to be absent on x86-64.
Both versions link against openmotif.
This is very weird.
