Your configuration is specifying "abode" when you only have "urw". 
Based on the output you gave, before, you can:

1) Remove this entirely, and let nedit use it's defaults, which probably 
will work.
2) Replace "adobe" with "urw" to match which what's on your system.
3) Replace "adobe" with "*" to try to work across multiple systems and 
hopefully match "urw".
4) Install the "adobe" fonts.
