Curious about next version and developer updates

A release is planned, but there are a number of bugs we want to get
out before that, and they prove to be durable. Since the date first
estimated is already in the past I'm not in a mood to speculate again.

There will only two new features: A $VERSION macro variable and the
filename_dialog() macro function.
