Nedit & KDE loss of selection problems

Your question seems to refer to the kde bug entry which is considered
as invalid by the kde folks. I don't use kde (icewm + roxfiler is much
better ;-) and never noticed this bug report - I just refered you to
the post, because it tells you how to solve the problem.

Now, for the kde folks clipboard and the primary selection seem to be
synonyms, and I'm already lost at this point. They claim further that
nedit would sometimes not send the clipboard, which must be the
primary selection actually, and then the 'prevent empty clipboard'
option of klipper falls back on the last known clipboard content --
thereby thankfully deselecting things in nedit.

IMO, if the klipper code isn't broken, it is the whole idea of doing
such things in the first place. But this are just my 2 cents...
