Sort of related to what I do: Trying to get a diploma thesis out of
numerical tracer experiments in GCM wind field.

I like the tab interface of my _window manager_.
Sometimes additional tabs in app are handy for more levels of
organization, in the end I'd like the WM to manage such also... I
really like the tabbing done by the WM since it behaves the same way
for every app - with the same hotkey. But I understand that not
everyone can let his WM do that...

For me it's tyically one window per file. 10, 20 ...
On work, where I have a 1280x960 screen, I have two window groups (one
session but multiple windows each) next to each other on one virtual
screen, each group consisting of a number of nedit windows.
I also made this hack for placing svrname in window name (for my window
manager) so that I can do
ncl -svrname a <file>
to add a window to the left group and open <file> in it.
For general purposes like editing an eMail, preparing text for a web
form, quick casual editing of some file unelated to my main work, I pop
up a nedit window (group, when it's going to be more files) on the
virtual desktop at hand.
Alrighty then,
Thomas.
