focus-n-raise on KDE

Might it have something to do with "focus stealing prevention"?  I had 
to turn that off.

I think it has something to do that if you're actively typing in one 
application (e.g., konsole) a new window that pops up won't get the 
focus (in order to prevent you sending passwords to your IM friends).
