If you're using KDE, check out http://www.nedit.org/niki/index.php/X-Resources
and read the end part, "KDE color schemes and NEdit resources". You may also
have KDE overriding font definitions here too. Otherwise, try to find a file
called NEdit.ad, NEdit, Nedit.ad, or Nedit somewhere on your system
(especially in subdirectories called app-defaults or similar) - one of these
files may be overriding your resources.
