No.  Not yet. What I wrote is :

nc -xrm "*visualID: 0x23" => works.
setenv XLIB_SKIP_ARGB_VISUALS 1
nc xxx => works

This was done on my current nedit/nc version that was working fine under Mandriva 2006.
