Interactive Recognition Patterns

Should be possible with macros. What kind of items are we talking
about? An arbitrary part of a document or one of a fixed set of
options?

I would try NEdit's own widgets first, but I've seen NEdit extensions
using Tk (two ftp frontends I think).
