Cut/Paste nedit failures

We've tried to make the clipboard accesses a bit more robust, but we 
cannot guarantee that the problem is completely solved. Bugs in the 
toolkit that we use (OpenMotif in that case) or in other applications 
that monopolize the clipboard (KDE's Klipper comes to mind) may still 
cause trouble.

The changes are in CVS, but there has not been a release since. A new 
release is planned in a few months.
