Much as I sympathise about the Wrap Margin and Hairline merge (I burnt
a few cycles there myself), I think in principle small patches are better.
My hope has been to split your megapatch into smaller, more atomic units,
but I've only just started looking into it. There are a few easy things
I have cribbed from you: the $NEDIT_HOME built-in variable springs to
mind.

How on earth do you manage to avoid pain when merging your clone windows
with anything else? Wow, this Mercurial must be good!
