I am just wondering what is the intention to put so much new features
in one single patch. Wouldn't it be more appropriate to create a new patch
for a new feature? 

"One feature, one patch" is IMHO easier to handle (in principle). E.g. 
the patch page would then really reflect for which features patches are
existing.
