Idea for a feature!

How many of these do you get in a day?  :)

My suggestion is small, but would make life easy for those of us who 
program:  When using the shell window, one of the options for input 
might be 'from file', where you name the file (and it might include the 
% modifier).  One of the options for shell output might be 'Temporary 
Window', which would be like a normal window, save that it does not 
prompt you to save the file before closing the window.

This way, a coder could store his configuration for his compiler in a 
file, and reference that file for building.  Also, his compiler output 
could be gathered into a window, which could be closed easily when done 
with.

Oh, I'm sure I could write a shell script to emulate the first part.  
But others might not be able to.
