Hi Joerg,
I have managed to create the Find All macro. However, I am still trying to include the patch program into my nedit source.
Should I do this by using the following command: nedit -import hlsearch-v4_2[1].diff
I am currently using nedit version 5.5.

No, you use the patch program to include it into the nedit sources.
If you can't do so, there also is a macro that can be used, although
it isn't as sophisticated, see
