Nedit insterts control characters when using Ctrl key

Hi all,

I'm using Nedit 5.5RC1 and and very impressed with the
new features, especially the tabs.

However I'm having a problem that occurs occasionally,
and I have yet to figure out how to reproduce it.

The problem is Nedit inserts the control characters
when using the Ctrl key for short-cuts (e.g. Ctrl+s,
Ctrl+z ... etc). When this happens, Nedit inserts:
<dc2><dc3><stx>
into the text of the file that's open. (the about
control sequences are just examples)

To stop Nedit from doing this, I have to use the mouse
to access the menu, and do anything (e.g. Edit->Undo).
When I do this, Nedit recovers and the short-cut keys
start woking normally again.

I am not doing anything special when Nedit gets into
this state. Also, I don't have to be doing the same
thing each time it happens. It seems to be random.

Nedit gets into this state about twice per hour of
use, so it's not a major problem.

If anyone has seen a aimilar problem and has a
workaround, then I've be delighted to hear about it.

Thanks,
Liam
