I read a bit on the use of CLIPBOARD a while ago. As I understand it,
nothing is copied until the content of CLIPBOARD is actually requested
by another widget. So just like with PRIMARY, the two widgets could
arrange the content's format.
What I couldn't quite clarify for myself is Motif's role in this. Does
Motif always do some buffering here, requesting the text in the
process?
