Programming Tools for NEdit

Seems to be written for NEdit version 4.*. The question would be
what of these tools might still be useful. Notice that nowadays
NEdit has quite a powerful macro language (this was surely not the
case for 4.*). To display quick help there are calltips (working
together with tags, btw), to display lists there is the
list_dialog().

What features are you looking for?  Perhaps there are better ways to 
accomplish these tasks than trying to update outdated tools.
