>From a user point of view (as a user of a "programming editor") I prefer not
to have panels to the left or right of my editing area unless I have the
option of minimizing or hiding the side panel or sizing it to be a very
narrow window.
On the other hand, as a Windows programmer in the middle of transitioning to
Linux, I'm not sure how practical that would be.
FYI... I'm using NEdit on MS Windows via X-Win32.
