Limit on number of files opened in tabs

Under KDE, I simply log out the with all my nedit windows still open. 
When I log back in, they all come back in the right place - tabs,
windows and all.

You have a good point about the Windows menu - before tabs, it really
wasn't practical to edit 50 files at once.  Now that it is, I think this
a problem we need to solve in the Window menu.  There are other places
where commands don't work with large numbers of files - I think we need
a "Save All", etc.
