Actually, I have the mentioned $marks array, the mark_unset() action
and a tag stack macro based on them, already.  Perhaps I find the time
to prepare a patch for it.  The macros achieving a named bookmarks
feature including storing them to a file, so as to make them
persistent, shouldn't be hard to write.  A 'next/previous mark' macro 
should be even less work.
