At the moment we are roughly at a year per phase.

So I take it you want to get back to phase 1 again? Is this your list
of release-critical bugs? I have to say that I don't think most of
them are this important.

I think this one needs only a few more eyeballs, I also have a much
smaller one based on input from Ivan.

Yeah, it's kind of nasty and I got distracted while looking it over.

No sweat, we just have to decide which way to go.

Yes, also just a little decision to make.

I didn't follow that discussion too closely. You two have fun.

Seems to be ok.

Is that a patch?

Is there a patch hidden somewhere?

Is there something major missing?

So you have any idea since when that bug was in the code? We need to
add it to the ReleaseNotes if it's an old bug.

Nope, doesn't look like it.
Now for the (old?) list of release-critical bugs:
#1411492 Build fails
I don't do makefiles. Any volunteers?
#1065303 screen refreshment error
Could be tricky, I have to take a closer look. I worked on misdrawn
carets before, maybe it's a simple thing.
#1027807 loss of files on full disk
I think we should go with Tony's suggestion. A truncate is lying
around somewhere in the net. However, we should really think hard
about how to test this.
Is on its way out either way, at worst we go with my patch which
limits corruption to its natural amount.
#1013069 Windows menu truncated when lots of files are open
Hm, I put this on the list of release-criticals. Any objections
against taking it off again?
#750372 OS390 compile error highlightData.c
We need a Perl/Bourne Shell/whatever script to make a transformation
from a nedit.rc fragment to a C fragment.
#579913 VMS language mode inconsistencies
Access to VMS would be a big help here.
Also, I would like to add Ivan's tuning for writeBckVersion().
