I suspect you have never looked into the hooks which comes with
Thorsten's Patch Collection? And I can understand it. Lucky you, I'm
currently extracting the hooks code and will publish it shortly. For
me the code works. Currently, only non-preemptabe hooks are supported,
but this may change in the near future.

To the topic: I would made me available as a mentor for this. I'm
currently in my baby year, which ends with this years August, so time
isn't a big problem for me.

I think folding would really be the most valuable feature to all of
us, even I have never tried editing with folding, because I have never
tried other editors ;-) Folding is a real programmer feature while
unicode is more of the general purpose kind. And I think NEdit is a
programmer editor. So my vote would be for folding.

Anyway I have also a long lived idea that may also be interesting: How
about a macro interface to the motif toolkit, ie a macro toolkit? So
you can build new windows for all kinds of new ideas: a tags/tips
browser, project file list, and so on.
