AFAIK this is a missing font or misconfiguration, not a bug.
It may appear on many systems when default fonts that nedit
uses aren't installed.

You have an X resource that is selecting this font, but it's
not valid on your system. I have no way of knowing how that
X resource got there, but you should remove it.
It looks like youre running from an SGI box and remotely
display to a Linux system. The two do not necessarily have
the same fonts installed.
